Work arrangements
All non-essential personnel should determine remote working arrangements with their supervisors.

We deeply appreciate our students’ and employees’ professionalism and commitment to CUNY and its mission. We will continue to share as much information as we can, as soon as we can, to keep you updated and apprised of any developments.

COVID-19 related Health Benefits Information for Tax-Levy Staff
CUNY has created a CUNY Benefits webpage dedicated to Coronavirus related information and resources. There is a link to a chart of all the health plans and the telemedicine services the carriers have expanded. There is also a section for Mental Health related services and other pertinent links including EAP and Fitness.

Counseling Services for Tax-levy Staff
For faculty and staff experiencing heightened anxiety, CUNY’s Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is available to help. CUNY’s EAP may be reached at 1-866-327-2400 or https://members.deeroakseap.com/.

IT Services
The SPH IT team has contacted all faculty and staff to assist them in preparing for the potential need to work remotely, installing software and providing training as needed. Staff are encouraged to transfer confidential files to SharePoint and ensure that that they can access the files they need remotely.

Facilities
Facilities staff is continuing to disinfect commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, tables, desks, and light switches in conference rooms, pantries, and classrooms and public areas twice daily. Over the next week they will also disinfect uncluttered surfaces in offices and workstations.

Facilities is providing hand sanitizer for individual use upon request–although it should be noted that hand-washing has been documented to be more effective than hand-sanitizer See: https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/show-me-the-science-hand-sanitizer.html

Purchasing
If you need to make purchases related to COVID-19 response, these should be made through CUNYfirst on tax levy funds. CUNY has requested that COVID-19 expenses be tracked separately, for potential reimbursement.
