Welcome Laura Maltz, Student Career Program Manager

Aug. 25, 2020

The CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy is excited to welcome Laura Maltz, our new Student Career Program Manager. Laura joins us from Columbia University where she was a senior member of the experiential learning team as well as a long-time career advisor.

She has specialized experience in public sector internships, externships, service learning, student-alumni mentorship programs, and employer relations. Laura has also worked closely with the first-generation college student community and led staff trainings on creating inclusive career services.

Prior to her work in higher education, Laura managed workforce development and adult education programs in the non-profit sector. She has also worked in private practice as an independent career coach for career changers. Laura has an M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College of Columbia University and a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton.

In her free time, Laura is a storyteller, and has played the roles of performer and curator for live storytelling events. She’s also taught storytelling workshops for faculty and staff at Columbia University and for community members at the Ecuadorian-American Cultural Center. She could not be more excited to be joining CUNY SPH and to be a career resource, facilitator, and connector for our wonderful community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Please join us in welcoming Laura to our CUNY SPH community!
