Katrina Mateo, currently a doctoral student at CUNY SPH, was recently elected to be a student/trainee chair of the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) Behavioral Informatics and Technology Special Interest Group (BIT SIG) and will support the Chair and Co-Chair for this upcoming year. Mateo will be assisting the BIT SIG co-chairs over the course of the next year in organizing and promoting SIG meetings and activities. Mateo’s position will afford her the opportunity to connect with SIG researchers and industry professionals who share an interest in the impact of information and communication technology on health behavior outcomes, as well as the promotion of appropriate use of technologies to improve health and health care.
