Ghada Soliman, MD, PhD, RD, Associate Professor of Environmental, Occupational, and Geospatial Health Sciences
Ghada Soliman, MD, PhD, RD received her PhD in nutritional biochemistry from the University of Arizona. Dr. Soliman completed post-doctoral fellowships and was an Assistant Professor in lipid metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Ghada also served on the faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School and at Western Michigan University. Since 2013, she served as Associate Professor and Graduate Program Chair in the Department of Health Promotion at University of Nebraska College of Public Health. She has a well-established track record, both in teaching and research, and taught several courses on human nutrition across the lifespan. She has mentored many students at the masters and doctoral levels. Ghada received grant funding from the American Heart Association, NIDDK of the NIH, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She will play an integral role in revising CUNY MPH nutrition curriculum, expanding the academic agenda of nutritional sciences, and expanding lab-based research and educational opportunities for prospective doctoral students.
