PUBLIC HEALTH LIBGUIDE
The SPH Library has created a comprehensive Public Health LibGuide that includes information on the login process, conducting research, evidence-based resources and grey literature, access to data, citation and formatting, course reserve textbooks, deposit procedures for dissertations and theses, and other library resources.
The CUNY School of Public Health provides online access to electronic resources through a partnership with the City College of New York.
OneSearch is a discovery tool that gives you access to online journals, books and digital collections. Due to vendor restrictions, a double login is required: the first login is with your Barcode, located on the back of your SPH ID and starting with the numbers 27674.
The second login is when you click on View Now within your OneSearch results. Students will use the username and password used to log into SPH campus computers and WiFi to gain access to these electronic resources, including databases. The username will consist of your first initial, your last name followed by the last two digits of your CUNY EMPLID number (i.e. JDoe01). The password is your SPH WiFi password, which is emailed to all students upon matriculation.
Once you’re familiar with the login process, you can use OneSearch or click on a database below to begin your research.

The SPH Library (Room 538) has a print collection of course reserve textbooks available for on-campus use. Materials unavailable at CUNY can be requested and delivered to any of the 31 CUNY libraries using Interlibrary Loan. Your SPH ID also grants you physical access to all CUNY libraries.
