Our goal is to identify, explain and mitigate the impact of natural, social, built, food and occupational environments on the health and well-being of populations. Our mission is to facilitate the development of equitable interventions that promote population health. Key to the work of our faculty and students is the translation of theory into effective action, both locally in New York and globally. A fundamental part of our identity is the education and training of the next generation of scientists and public health practitioners imbued with the same ideals, as well as the knowledge and skills to implement them.
